Women are still underrepresented in Deep Tech – especially in leadership, innovation, and entrepreneurship roles within industrial companies. This session looks at what’s holding back progress, what’s actually working, and whether targeted efforts help close the gap or unintentionally reinforce it.
We will share new insights from a regional workshop and survey conducted with women in and around the tech sector. These findings provide a basis for discussion.
Industrial partners will also present how they are working to attract, support, and retain women in tech-heavy positions — including internal nudging programs, mentoring, and leadership development efforts. Together, we’ll explore a central question:
Do focused initiatives help break the bias — or risk creating new silos for those already outside the system?
As part of the session, we will soft launch a new initiative being developed based on the workshop findings. The concept aims to create stronger connections between women in tech and real innovation needs within established companies. The session invites reflection, feedback, and further engagement.
