The drone community has always been driven by passion and technical curiosity. But the world has changed – drones are now in demand across industry, defence and research, and the hard-won lessons from Ukraine's frontlines are suddenly shaping how entire nations think about security. The question is: what can Norway actually learn, and who is brave enough to act on it?
What have we learned? – Voices from the front (20 min)
No war in modern times has changed the battlefield faster than the war in Ukraine. The lessons are hard-won, as the Ukrainians have had to adapt, innovate and fight simultaneously. In this first section, you will hear directly from actors from Ukraine and Estonia with first-hand experience of what works.. Representatives from Threod, DefsecIntel, KrattWorks, Lendurai, Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Victory Drones share what they have lived through: what has worked, what has failed, and which lessons Norway cannot afford to ignore.
Now we've heard – what must we learn? (25 min)
Knowing is not enough. In this section, the panel holds the frontline experiences up against Norwegian and European reality – and asks the uncomfortable questions. Are we moving fast enough? Do we have the right structures? Representatives from Fritt Ukraina, Kongsberg Defense, Blinktroll Robotics and NORCE discuss what needs to change for us to turn these lessons into real capability. This is a conversation for anyone who believes that Norway's security is not someone else's problem – whether you are a soldier, a student, an entrepreneur or simply someone who wants to understand what is actually at stake.
