Quantum technology is increasingly at the center of public discourse, attracting attention from policymakers, industry leaders, and quantum enthusiasts alike. This growing interest stems from the disruptive potential of quantum phenomena in technological applications. However, public expectations are not always aligned with the fundamental realities of quantum theory.

In this talk, Professor Francesco Pietro Massel takes a closer look at what is really meant when discussing quantum technology. What makes a sensor "truly" quantum? What are the different reasons why quantum computing is important? By addressing these and other key questions, misconceptions are clarified, and the deeper meaning behind the quantum revolution is explored.
