For more than 50 years, TOMRA has developed technology that recovers and reuse valuable resources. Across industries such as food, mining, and recycling, its solutions capture, sort, and return materials back into circulation.
TOMRA Collection pioneered reverse vending machines - introduced in the 1970s, these machines have made returning bottles and cans part of regular routines. Today, these systems recover billions of containers each year and are expanding to new markets worldwide.
Building on a strong engineering heritage, TOMRA Collection has recently taken a more design-driven approach. Over the past year, a dedicated design department has been established to strengthen user experience and bring design into product strategy. This initiative highlights the growing role of design within the organization, enabling TOMRA to efficiently build intuitive and scalable products that support their sustainable mission.
