Definitions

  • Program items are a collective term for everything that is included in Kongsberg Agenda's official program, including events, stands and activities
  • Host is the responsible actor for a program item
  • Events are initiatives initiated by a responsible host, involve several participants, are held on a stage/outdoor venue/arena for an audience. Examples are panel debates, technology talks, technology demonstrations, seminars, round tables, award ceremonies, etc.
  • Exhibitors are actors with stands as part of the technology exhibition TeXpo
  • Stands can be designed in different ways, but are characteristically an assigned and delimited area where information can be distributed, conversations can be held and activities can take place.
  • Activities are a broader category that also includes activities that contribute to filling the city with life and movement, engage residents and visitors, and support Kongsberg Agenda's purpose and vision.

    • Organizations, companies and businesses can participate with events and activities under Kongsberg Agenda.
    • Organizations/associations of a non-commercial nature can participate with stands and activities under Kongsberg Agenda within given limits.
    • The host is responsible for ensuring that the event, activity or stand follows the criteria set by Kongsberg Agenda, is safe in terms of safety and complies with Norwegian legislation.
    • An host who stands for an anti-democratic, violent message is not allowed to participate - nor are parties with messages that directly contradict the purpose of the event.
    • Kongsberg Agenda reserves the right to make decisions regarding refusal, warning, expulsion or exclusion.

    • All program items must have a link to technology
    • Be open to everyone – with the exception of the event with special approval.
    • Be open and universally accessible to the public
    • Be free – with the exception of the event with special approval.
    • Be on an Agenda approved stage that is found in our registration system
    • Facilitate safe, open, respectful and inclusive dialogue and audience interaction, based on democratic values.
    • The length of individual events should not exceed 1.5 hours including set-up and take-down.
    • Price and invoicing. It costs 1500,- + VAT per entry of the program item to be visible in the program on the website/app. This is invoiced from Kongsberg Agenda/Kongsberg Næringsforum. All other costs for renting the event venue, equipment, speakers, etc. are covered by the host themselves and handled directly with the event venue and possibly other suppliers.

  • Events, activities and stands must not

    Events, activities and stands must not

    • Drive sales, etc. that are related to local catering, trade stand activities or larger events/activities initiated by Kongsberg Agenda.
    • Market a commercial product, business or service outside the area designated for this - and according to specific criteria.
    • Drive fundraising or ongoing and outreach membership recruitment.
    • Drive activity of a nature that is outside the scope of Kongsberg Agenda's vision and purpose.
